You Were Written In The Stars Poem by Kathryn Brookins

You Were Written In The Stars

Here we are, you and I together.
You started out as still and light as a feather.
Now here you are, growing and moving
kicking and turning.
So many years, I wished for you,
I went through so much hurt, to late to undo.
If I had just waited with patients, I would have known,
this day would come and good-bye to being alone.
Here we are together as one.
You in my belly, baking until your done.
I have not been this happy ever in my life.
You were written in the stars for me, that is nice.
I never wanted you more than I do on this day,
and I can not wait to look at you and say
I love you my daughter, my love, my life,
and I promise to be here and save you from strife.
I vow to give you all of myself, and I vow to love you all of my life.
Your are a miracle, no doubt about it, and I will treasure you as so.
And there will be no ands, ifs, or even thoughs.
I love you my child, growing so big and healthy in my belly,
I love you my precious, you turn me into jelly.
So until the day we meet, and I smell your innocent scent,
I will continue to swell with love for you and never be bent.
You are the heart in my eye, the swell of my love..
And I thank our creator who watches us from above.
He has kept us safe, and has loved us from afar,
and I will love you all of my days, my little star.
