You Weren'T Him



I was wrong
how ignorant of me
you were right
I thought of the echoes my heart would only beat
how selfish
how stupid

Yet I was right
signs were there from the start
miscommunication and we drifted apart
we left our respect at the door
now I'm paying the price

You weren't him
