You Who Would Like To Study... Poem by Mohammad Younus

You who would like to study...
...the book of Allah...
...if you wish to grasp its meaning...
..first think indeed about what you say;
Do not say what you cannot do!
For it is very difficult to comprehend;
But, be a devout reader...
...even if it exhausts your whole life;
The treasury of Knowledge is within;
The mother book!


The externalist theologians and...
...the religious bigots...
...do not have the needed intellect for it...
...no matter how brilliant scholars they are;
If you want to proceed with reading the book...
...you will need Love and Faith, together;
You have got to rise above Reason;
Since faith cannot be explained just by reason.

For reading the book of Allah rather...
...your wisdom is more needed...
...that has its source in Divine intellect;
And place all your fidelity in the divine intuition...
...that is bestowed by God on those who register...
...as students in the Divine university;
By Reading the Book of Allah, you will, of course...
...get awakened and illuminated;
And, thus, you will understand this great book...
...which tells you your own story and...
...the story about your creator;
How fortunate is he whom himself the author...
...reveals the meanings of His book!
