Wake up slowly, with those dark, lonely eyes
open them wide, so you see
the sky is blue, it's another blue day
a day made for you and for me
and hold me like forever you'll care
wrap your love next to mine
for your love is all that I've ever known
the love that makes the world shine
and pray that tomorrow will be like today
for love is an ocean of dreams
pray that we'll always hold on to love
no matter what love really means
and you'll love again, build up a home
hear me, the words that I say
but now you must sleep, rest lonely eyes
for tomorrow may take you away...

And I can't let you go, my way is still set
refusing to break us in two
I long for the days I'm with you again
catching the dreams that we knew
teach me the laughter that lives in your soul
the love that swore us apart
show me the kindness that lit up your smile
and touched me, so deep in my heart
