Young Women's Pictures Poem by Long Tooth

Young Women's Pictures

Young women pictured on the Net,
Their youth alone breaks hearts and yet
Somewhere that person does exist,
And may, in fact, long to be kissed.

But not by me sir not by me,
Too old for her, in fact, you see.
Still, dreams of Spring infect the old,
What doesn't ache resists the cold,
But signs of doubt on aging skin,
Remind me too of other's sin.

Love's tough enough, give self a break,
A tender trap a child can fake,
Net lends itself to fraud, it's true,
And truth's not simple to construe.
Walk softly, don't forget your stick,
Or take advantage of the sick!

There are real needs in this world yet,
Due diligence means you must vet
All applicants for empathy;
Don't let some steal what heart gives free!
