Your Call Poem by Mary Rodriguez

Your Call

Patiently I wait to receive your call
Wondering if you still think of me at all?
My days run together with no spark left in my eye
Constantly thinking of you but no tears left to cry
Happy memories I carry when I think of us
We'll be together again someday, I have to trust
Sacrifices we make for our children's sake
Sometimes causes such unbearable heartache
Three angels of your heart, I understand your reasons
My love will remain with you throughout the seasons
You're the one thing I know I got right
You turn my darkest days into glorious light
My love for you is so deep, where do I begin?
It reaches to infinity, just open your heart and look within
Every word from you floods my brain
The love I have for you is hard to contain
You're who I think the world of
Don't give up on me, or on our love
Being apart is so very rough
I swear all you give me is more than enough
It's you who I truly adore
Every second with you leaves me wanting more
I'll be here when you're ready, I'll not leave
You can trust in me and believe
Quiet your heart and calm your mind
I love and support you, our hearts are forever entwined
