Your Daddy Still Loves You Poem by Elena Plotkin

Your Daddy Still Loves You

He may not say it as often as he should.
He may not have patience like others would.
But your Daddy still loves you, trust me I can tell.
For your Daddy still loves you, very, very well.
He may not understand that listening is a skill.
He may push you harder than anyone ever will.
But your Daddy still loves you, trust me I can tell.
For your Daddy still loves you, very, very well.
He may do a lot of hollering and even yell.
He may embarrass you and raise a lot of hell.
But your Daddy still loves you, trust me I can tell.
For your Daddy still loves you, very, very well.
And even if he never had time to play with you ball,
Inside, his heart he still eagerly awaits your call.
Because your Daddy still loves you, trust me I can tell.
For your Daddy still loves you, very, very well.
And even if he never admits it to anyone out loud.
Inside his heart, you still make him very, very proud.
Because your Daddy still loves you, trust me I can tell.
For your Daddy still loves you, very, very well.
And even if he hides it from the eyes of everyone.
Inside his heart you'll always be priority number one.
Because your Daddy still loves you, trust me I can tell.
For your Daddy still loves you, very, very well.
