A mesmerizing dark-chocolate concoction,
So bright and full of laughter,
Luring me towards you.
Your eyes,
Are like precious jewels,
They blaze with emotion,
Yet are filled with love.
When you are upset,
Your eyes are like the ocean, angry.
Occasionally narrowing into slits,
Yet I still find you attractive.
I could stare into your chocolate orbs forever,
Like a dream come true.
I long to see you more,
Yet you keep your distance.
It's wonderful and I gave it 10/10! You do have a poet's eye to see things and go deeper and the literary verve to express inner feelings in poetic language. Why haven't you written any more poem after just two? Please keep writing and post in this forum so that we all can read and share your thoughts. You have beautifully described 'her' eyes in this poem. If you love her, do not do things that would upset her, so that you do not have to see the angry waves of an ocean, 'occasionally narrowing into slits'. If you long to see her more, do things as would please her. It may take a lifetime to understand and grasp the ingredients of the two states of mood, though. My very best wishes...
