Your Eyes Poem by Sumana S C

Your Eyes

Rating: 5.0

The end was abrupt,
And so was the beginning.
But the memories lingered on.
The eyes that bared the soul
Stayed on forever.
The longing gaze dwelled on
And so did the longing in that pair.

The questions in those eyes,
Remained unanswered.
But the questions stayed on.
The twinkle of a star those eyes hold,
Yet the spark in my eyes gone.

My eyes knew you the moment it beheld
My heart swift to respond,
But I remained in darkness, in the same place
Our eyes met but the paths never crossed.

Those dark eyes unknowing of their power,
Have gazed on me with deep fervour.

I am now a prisoner of your mysterious eyes
A memory of them set my heart ablaze..
I have now no escape
But to hold your eyes hostage.
