You are like a blind embryo
Sequestered in the darkness
Of your own shelled semi-consciousness;
Unable to perceive
What enormous spiritual potential you possess.

This unnamable restlessness in you,
Is the inevitable yearning -
Of the sky for the earth,
A desperate thirst to reach the hands
That would pull you into gentle embrace,
And offer you
The incubation of love,
By which you can break open your crust
And unite with the indefinable.
