Your Last Warning Poem by Stephen Rule

Your Last Warning

Thou may say things to greater folk,
And in thine eyes it all be joke.
But if thine words bring naught but mourn,
Then harken now and heed my warn.
Thou hast said thine words of past,
And the Lord hath set how long thou last.
Recant thine words of bitter taste,
Afore the Left Hand of God shall lay thee to waste.
