Your Mixed Feelings About Me - Poem by kathryn _xo

**based on personal events**

I know you are older.
You're my brothers friend.
But you seem more to me.

I liked you for so long.
My friends don't understand.
I can't even tell them, even if they're my friend.

You probably think I am immature
But everytime I am near you
You seem to be looking at me.

I don't know what to do.
Sometimes I can't take my eyes off of you.
You don't understand.

You're everything I want in a man.
I dont care what people think about you
I have my own opinion.

I wish we can be more than just friends,
But I don't think you want our relationship to go far.

A couple of weeks ago was your sisters party.
I see you sitting there
Watching me.

I look up at you an smile.
You give a half smile and turn away.
Like you're playing a game.

A game that I would love to play.
Atleast with you.

But your mixed feelings about me need to change.
I don't know what we are.
Friends?

You seem to flirt with me when we are together.
When you come over my house to hang out with my brother
I go into the room you guys are in.

Once and awhile i will look at you
See you looking at me.
Again you look away.

I used to love this game
But now it's getting old.
I need to know what are we.

I can't pretend that there is nothing between us
And neither can you.
Make up your mind
otherwise I am through.
