Your Night Light Poem by Brandy Avery

Your Night Light

You were supposed to be my shelter from the mighty storm. But you are the monster to whom I was born. You gave me no love and gave me your deceitful name. Planting your seed and bring me a lifetime of pain. My beautiful young angels were gifts from above. Unlike you I will hug and give them all my devoted love. I will guide them and hold their hands tight. I will check their closets and under their beds for ghosts every night. Promise to keep from danger and always keep them insight. Of corse to always plug in their night light. Promise to help you with a sun burn and bug bites. My promise is I will protect you for the rest of my life.
