Your Return Poem by David. R Rodriguez

Your Return

Rating: 5.0

The morning light shines upon our broken hearts, reflecting back only memorys of pain and sorrow. Shards of what is left of my life lay on the ground, scattered, waiting for somone to put it back together. Watching ongoing people step on it and break it into even smaller pieces. And as every second goes by, the thought of me ever having a life again....slowly slips away. Gazing up at the lifeless stars......into the eyes of sleeping giants....i mourn for your return. To stare into your beautyful eyes and plea for your forgivness. To hold you in my arms with so much love and passion. I sit here and wait for the day to come...the day of your return.
