Your Smile (Not A Sonnet) Poem by Eric Ericson

Your Smile (Not A Sonnet)

Rating: 4.0

Your smile like the dawn resplendent
warms my heart and colors my day,
and shines on me a light most pleasant
down the path I walk each day.

You take that smile and turn it inward,
and your heartbeat makes it dance.
To your eyes it bounces upward
spreading with your every glance.

My heart knows this splendid music
and it dances with your eyes;
lifting, twirling, floating, soaring.
Can you hear its wild reprise?

Come my darling kiss me kiss me,
but my mouth speaks only sighs
