Your Soul Poem by Yvonne Iversen

Your Soul

You never knew
who your soul belonged to.
But I did,
within my heart.

You never saw
how much my heart trembled.
It was lost,
but then found.

Like a bottle,
floating in the ocean.
Without purpose,
without meaning.

And it found me.
So suddenly.
Without warning.
It was just there.

Those forever happy memories.
Intertwined with sorrow,
and grief.

We never knew,
now did we?
