Your Voice Poem by Dosvedanya Rashia

Your Voice

Your voice is like
a mystery to me,
deep and warm as honey
flowing down in soft folds
through an alburn cup of
earl-grey tea.
I cannot help but become
impassioned by the secret flowers
of your intellect.
To embrace your mind with mine
As I cannot embrace
your body.
For I wish that we might
join arms, as we ride together
on a prehistoric steed, of
grandieur
Carrying each other away
to happiness and joy.
For now I live
for those brief moments in time
where your kind, deep voice
carasses my entire being,
like two sheltering arms
lifting my worries away.
But alas, how far away!
the bitter distance of
twelve thousand miles,
A lifetime for me, I fear
to reach land of purity
in which my friend dwells.
