Your Voice Poem by Patrick Keenan

Your Voice

sitting and waiting for your voice
the silence and I are patient
your voice is always worth the wait
and the possibility of your warm laughter
calms us as we wait

the silence and I
ache to be broken
and filled
with the sweetness of
the sound of

Call us and tell us your words
Call us and say what you may
want us to hear
the silence and I know
your voice will be
music to our ears
