You're A Sun Poem by Namita Rani Panda

You're A Sun

Why do you wait, wail and fuss
when every storm that comes will surely pass?
Why do you always sweat and whine
when every night brings a morn so fine?
Why don't you go out and enjoy the rain
and laugh boldly at the stubborn storm
and row above the waves of glee and gloom
to reach the land of your cherished dream?
Why do you crave for an umbrella that tears and tatters?
Isn't the blue one that takes a new form every morn is far better?
Why to complain of darkness and wait for the Sun?
You yourself are a Sun to herald a brilliant new morn,
Just get up and get the things going,
keep the smallest spark within you burning.
No one can hide your ever glowing glaze
as no cloud can eclipse forever the bright sun rays.
As the Sun peeps through the darkest cloud
your brightness will surely one day dazzle the world.
