Ben-
z
you were never much of a lover
and i was never much of a friend
so i think that us together
made a fairly good end
i am reading through your poems and i googled your name - i'm a journalism major myself - only from KU. i think that background helps us, encourages us, to an economy and quick bite-the first 25 words, i guess.
at any rate, your clarity and freedom from over modification is itself a reward. i especially like your titles as i scan a list. ever look at film titles of Lena Wertmuller. Summer Night (With Greek Profile, Almond Eyes and Scent of Basil) (1987) and The End of the World in Our Usual Bed in a Night Full of Rain
for example.
are you posting inany of the poetry Forums? especially the 20 or so who compete in the Interboard Poetry Competition (IBPC) -one virtue is that a poem receives immediate feedback. just a thought.
will continue to work through your poems posted here.
