Zoya's Stint With Water Poem by Sumita Jetley

Zoya's Stint With Water

In the city's heart, where chaos reigns,
A quiet park, where peace remains,
A simple fountain, not grand, but pure,
Its gentle flow, a timeless cure.

Zoya found her solace there,
In the water's rhythm, free from care,
Each arch that rose, then softly fell,
Whispered secrets, life's own spell.

Children laughed, their joy untamed,
Splashing water, sunlight framed,
The fountain's grace, in laughter's sound,
A place where love and life were found.

An elder sat, her needles quick,
Her hands in time with water's flick,
She spoke of days, the world had spun,
Yet here, the fountain's song was one.

Seasons changed, as seasons do,
Flowers bloomed, and cold winds blew,
The fountain flowed through every day,
A silent witness to life's sway.

In winter's chill, it stood as ice,
A frozen form, yet still so nice,
For in its core, the life remained,
A flow of grace, forever sustained.

Zoya saw in water's flow,
A truth that only few might know,
That life is fluid, ever shared,
In every drop, the Divine is paired.

So in that park, where few might see,
A fountain stands, in majesty,
A symbol of the grace we find,
In every heart, in every mind
