My friend I look at you
My friend I know what you do
Inviting all to come and see
Living free in simplicity

known only to God's angelic band
Sometimes a blessing and a curse
Solitude my friend for better or worse

From the circle of life we come
The circle of life is one
Without is within within is without
Innumerable forms from the sacred spout
...

Long, long this pain has been
With its relentless instruction
The imperfections are revealed
For its lessons are a soul torn
...

Upon this path my Lord has placed me
None like it, for it is my destiny

The path is arduous, hard to tread
...

Life dries up
All things shall pass
Heed these words
We are like the grass
...

Sinking sun tells of it's coming
To swallow and ingest the world
Subtly slow it conquers day
A silent mystery unfurls
...

Oh glorious brilliance!
Fathomless your past and future
Overwhelmed am I by your days so vast
Overshadowing this spec of earth
...

A most formidable foe this self is
Rarely its guard lowered for long
For when it does in the light comes
And the dark is dispelled by the sun
...

For our salvation
Did the Lord come
With a pure heart
Wide open to all
...

From time to time upon earth we do find
One in whom God rules Holy truth divine
A being so rare every moment a prayer
Praise for them all for I do declare!

Of the many things I've come to know
Life's bittersweet taste and much more
A secret found I, it opens the door
