The Best Poem Of Rachel Davis

My Christmas Wish

Little Jimmy was so excited, it is Christmas time at last,
Whilst Edith sits at home alone, thinking of her past,
Jimmy rips the wrapping paper to see what he has got,
Edith looks lovingly at photos of when she tied the knot,
Jimmy got his Rocket Blaster, and grins from ear to ear,
Edith gazes at the empty armchair, and begins to shed a tear,
Christmas can be a magical, playing games and having fun,
Or a time when everything must be perfect and always on the run,
 
Christmas can bring on dread and loneliness, it is true,
Reminders of things that have gone wrong and leave you feeling blue,
Some have no place to call home, and shiver in the cold,
Others go out to meet them and bring them into the fold,
Whether you are feeling merry, or finding things a struggle,
If you are someone isolated, or have too many things to juggle,
Take some time for yourself, and look at the stars above,
My wish for every one of you is peace and lots of love.
