The funeral procession drove past my house
I bowed my head and I was quite as a mouse,
In a solemn prayer I gave to the sadly departed
As I knew of the sadness and remorse of the fainthearted;

In myself a devout man God will see
A terrorist could never become me,
I believe that all man should be free
Also, I enjoy watching Fox News on TV.

Soldiers are the patriots of our country
Unless of course they are gay or a transgender,
Then they don't stand for the brave or the free
And against foes, they will all runaway or surrender.

Women don't see any delight
When men want to fuss and fight,
But, a woman will always shed a different light
When a man becomes her defending knight.

The tree is happy because it does stand
With its root planted deeply into the earth's sand,
To the heavens they rise, as though claiming a prize;
Then upon its limbs weary birds will land.

Though my clothes are not your style
And in my shoes you've never walked a mile,
And when you start speaking of prejudices with guile;
I just look at you, and I give smile.

In Church will they even let you pray,
Are you ever allowed to be a Sunday school host
Are you then questioned about the holy ghost.

Into the Earth we will all go,

Once I was deeply obsessed
To my preacher my problem I confessed,
After I told him what my obsession was
He said unto me an obsession is not love.

Some friends just want to plead and shout
When they need you to help them out,
But, if you happened to throw out that, "Help" word
Only crickets are heard.
