Conflict, just another form of greed
just like every man's in conflict
just like every man can bleed

Tawny green grass, torn mountain slopes
took my breath and miner's hopes.
Pushed me gently up the hill,
where to watch the vista spill

The mind is a mountain
the future sits atop the peak,
when inspiration strikes
it just adds a little heat

I had big plans once upon a time,
plans that made the future shine, but
in the future is where the future lay
and small plans made got in the way.
