I am a bird, light in his wings. Never bothered anyone and asked nothing. I flew in a group which I felt I knew but all I was told wasn’t to be true. I lived my life all by myself, never coveted a feeder or anything else. I lived in a flock that enjoyed wanting to live under my wing the shelter that I give. But when father turns his watch, the weather gets cold, that’s when the true feather shows.

When there is no food and so much remorse, I go to work and stay the course. I am unappreciated and know this is true but I am a simple bird doing what I do. Upon enjoying a great sunrise I found another bird that shared my demise. At this moment I felt there was hope, to deal with tragedy of life and death to cope.

The Lonely Bird

With this new found wind I can finally see, this obscure bird belongs with me. She is everything I have wanted and won’t take advantage of me. Even the worst of nature won’t deter me.
