A contemporary Ghanaian poet; still wanting to better his craft. I am born and raised at Adoagyiri; a suburb of Nsawam in the Eastern region of Ghana.)
The Sonnet Of Beauty's Boast
The then years of my youths
Eyes stirred to stare
Mouths lyred to blare
My beauty was in books
In the standing times of my breasts
Hands charged to caress
Tongues wagged to suck its nipples
It was a 'sweetmare' to the opposite sex
In the heydays of my contoured hips
It was a sight to behold
A possession all envied
An eternal antique
But now these beauties and their cohort
Especially the breast is sunken in my front.
Life I think is right-angled; hypotenuse
Time is man-made but God-ordained; tilt the hand of time in your direction and let God keep the pace!
