It started so simple when I met you,
And thought nothing of it,
Everyday we were freinds I didn't really know,
It would end this way.
...
I held onto my sorrow,
And I looked to the ground,
I was afraid,
of what you would say,
...
Take the pain away,
please make it stop,
My heart is freezing,
my soul is burning,
...
Standing here,
on the surface of the earth,
My feet are cold and bare,
And there's rhythm,
...
Dream, dream, dream tonight,
My darling,
Dream of laughter and sun kissed feilds,
Dream of smiles and sugar candies galore,
...
You call me words,
Evil in their form,
You call me names,
Not meant to be said,
...
Living with my sorrow,
living with my happiness,
living with my tears,
living with my laughter.
...
I sing a song of love tonight,
love once here, and love forever,
I sing a song of dreams,
that flow through my head,
...
Down the road we talk and laugh,
In the metal beast that gives us a ride,
Who knows if it is willing,
And who would really care.
...
Gentle as a blowing breeze,
Soft as a floating cloud,
Rough as a great oak,
Hard as a solid rock,
...
A simple time,
that I remember,
when life was blank,
And I could write anything,
...
My hands once warm,
And clothed in yours,
my hands once full,
and held in yours.
...
I Think I Fell In Love
It started so simple when I met you,
And thought nothing of it,
Everyday we were freinds I didn't really know,
It would end this way.
I soon discoved something strange,
I looked at you and felt a beat,
like never before,
And I though you felt it to.
I was embarrassed to say it out loud,
But soon I got it out,
and we were together,
Smiling and laughing
But then one day things fell away,
Then one day you stopped smiling at me,
I wanted to love, I wanted to stay,
I wanted to say don't say goodbye.
You made me cry,
like never before,
And I don't why you had to say goodbye,
There is three simple words,
I wanted to say.
But now my chance is gone,
Look at me,
talk to me,
please don't forget me,
Cause I think I fell in love.
You are a great poet, Rebecca! Your poems are flowing with rhythm and emotions, and, because of that, I am sure you will excel greatly in the poetry world. Tiegan
