Babes are born into this world of sin,
they don't ask, we bring them in.
We try to keep them, clean as snow,
teach them Gods word, and hope it will show.

when were caught up in our own.
Ours actually engulfs us,
leaving us all alone.

As a new year comes in, I think of you,
I wonder what....I must do.
Is there a chance our love can last?
Should I move on, forget the past?

What do you feel, when I'm here with you?
Won't you tell me please, because I haven't a clue.
Are you happy I'm here, do you wish I were gone?
Do you even care, when I have to go home?

Lord, take away the hunger, take away the pain.
Take away the bad men, that want to slander Your name.
Take away the sorrow, take away the shame.
Take away the rich man, thats only playing games.

We have three, you and I.
All as beautiful, as the sky.
One is grown, with three of her own.
A good mother she is, always at home.

Once I stood in darkness,
with my head held low.
