Reshad Scott Poems

I have heard stories and dreams of the unexpected
Only to think about if it's true or not,
What is our purpose being on earth, if
Our lives are being controlled by the government and violence
...

It only takes a spark
to cause a hurricane.
The natural flow of energy between two or more persons declaring their right of feeling.
It's like a horoscope
...

I am longing to see your face,
To all the places that I left a trace.
How can I feel your presence, when you're not even here.
It's like a miracle, how things just suddenly disappear.
...

4.

You know
I don't get many moments like this,
moments to tell you how I feel.
...

The first time we met

I was in a pound
And I was in the comfort of your bedroom
...

The universe is a vast space of curiosity.
The unknown secrets waiting to be revealed to the human eye.
Hundreds of galaxies breeding new life in the solar system watching the stars as we do.
Balancing the nature of time as infinite.
...

The Nectar
Of life flows
from your elegant
cylinder down to
...

I imagine myself sleeping, but
Do I ever sleep?
I close my eyes and find myself
In a universe that is not actually ours.
...

I hate giving presentations, I hate everything about them.
The time it takes just to come up with an idea, and
Then the frustration of actually writing what to say.
I'm not a very good spokesman, I'm not a very good communicator
...

I hold my breath
And I visualize myself drowning.
The face of anguish
As I try to gasp for a breath of air.
...

How long does it take
Before I can't seem to remember.
All the good times I had
That somehow seems to simmer.

Its peak rises above the horizon.
Mountaintops eroded by years of rain.
Dirty to the core, surrounded by plants,
Shoved into the ground enduring-

Tall
feathered giants.
Living, but nonexistent.
You change in the course of time
...

All I feel is pain,
Countless puddles of cold tears,
A ghost wandering,
Emptiness within the soul,
...

I can't sleep at night,
The cold hands that grab my legs,
Enabling fear.
The screeching sounds of death beneath,
...

There is this gap in my heart
That I can not seem to fill.
I wish that I was there in his final moments-
When things were perfectly still.
...

If roses are blue, then her eyes the sea;
Golden her skin, far worth than anything;
Black sea her nails for you cannot foresee;
Here lies beauty, sweeter than everything.

Do You Believe

I have heard stories and dreams of the unexpected
Only to think about if it's true or not,
What is our purpose being on earth, if
Our lives are being controlled by the government and violence
Fear is what holds us back from discovering ourselves
The more we hold back...
Less...the time we have to discover,
In each and every one of us there is greatness
For which greatness gives us a purpose,
And that purpose is found within you
The only thing you actually have control over.
Don't believe in me
Believe in yourself, because
When there is no one else left by your side
And the years keep passing on,
You will find yourself laying in your death bed
Asking yourself over and over...

Reshad Scott Quotes

Life is like a written story, it doesn't last forever, but can be told over and over again.

You live to forget, and die to remember.

I don't live in the past. I just live in my memories.

Are you willing to die, just to figure out how much you really want to live?

Dreams give you a glimpse of what you want, but in real-life can not fulfill.
