I`d swim across the Ocean blue
to see how it would feel.

I journey where Valkyries ride
across the stars in silver streams
into the valley of endless dreams

the night was dark and dreary
the rain was lashing down
i was wet right through from hat to shoe
and i`d lost my way to town

I wanted to live in the country
away from the city I`d dwell
I wanted to live in the country
just me all alone by myself

The sands of time ran out for me
about a year ago
I hung around on Earth a while
not sure of where to go.

One day I sat upon a stone
and thought that I was all alone
but sitting perched upon a log
my eyes beheld a little frog
...

The ice the ice the crushing ice
our ship is held in a freezing vice
it`s fifty below N.W.of Nome
and some of the crew are crying for home
...

The polar night was clear and bright
and icy through and through
the wind was rough but we were tough
and we all had a job to do
...

When time is called and I must go
exactly where I`d like to know
will it be Heaven or down below
no sun no wind no rain and no snow
