Rikki Lynn Lawson Poems

I'm lying awake my heads in a fright
Thinking your running around on me all nite
While we share a bed that's not our own
Like I've been forced out of my own home
...

Watch the sunrise here today
Glistening on ripples in the bay
Shimmering with delicate power
Light the way I view a flower

Thief Of The Heart

I'm lying awake my heads in a fright
Thinking your running around on me all nite
While we share a bed that's not our own
Like I've been forced out of my own home
I've been chastised for being there
Outcaste for being the only one fare

Why the buzzards take carnage over me
I deserve far more a destiny
They peck and pull like worms from an eye
They are thoughts of revenge that pry
My flesh exposed to an open desire
Then tossed and scorched about the ire

Where is it you go when, alas, I'm alone
Descending depths drown my heart of stone
Prospectively you perch pace and wait
Oblivious to the vulnerability of which u bait
For a fool considered much of nothing
A feast to decide a fate made of something
