a house on the river
tattooed waves lap at the door
red grass smiles tall
sunrisebrush strokes paint purple
...
an infinity of images
make a language
myriad colours float in
from across oceans
...
Tajmahal by night
A stir a shift, a feeble tug
wing flutters within
...
today as I sit to pen silence
unity of humankind
stretches its arms
across maps bereft of dots
...
spring-connect
(a tribute to our courageous medical professionals)
the five elements conspire
to assault my senses
...
fear-tethered unity across maps
bereft of dots
resonates in unmatched grace
virtual synergy in cyberspace
...
the five elements conspire
to assault my senses
with that lethal, invisible nemesis
each agonizing breath borrows
...
today i can only pen silence
as our poet-mate steps into
the oblivion of ethereal eternity
time stands stone- still

Mask
a house on the river
tattooed waves lap at the door
red grass smiles tall
sunrisebrush strokes paint purple
diamondsglitter
on noon's proud chest
radiant peacocks open petals
winged dahlias in twilight bloom
the earth bathes in a rain of stars
gardens grow on verdant clouds
the night burns in silver showers
darkness shines in firefly glow
smiles sketched in shadows of fear
infinity in finite's womb
chirping birds perched on the moon
rainbow across the night sky
all unseen, all unheard
beneath the masked surface.
• • every void like every absence spells the continuity of a loved one's presence quotes by Dr Rita Malhotra INDIA • Poets reach out in uncertain metaphors in their continuous search for truth. • Life's pensive winds search for missing links through eternity's deserts • I trace a broken rainbow on the last page of my book of verse. • Let me not desire to be part of any order, instead let me work towards just being myself with me and mine. • An evil-laden soul seeking redemption only finds sentries at heaven's doors • history remembers poets for the legacy of beautiful metaphors. • After dark nights, come dawns that bring in pearl-glitter on verdant greens and happy twitter of morning birds. • the poet swims between shores of inner sensibilities and a masked world outside. .
