Sam Hawk Poems

You don’t belong to me
But you’re here from time to time
Twining your lovely little fingers
Interlacing them with mine
...

How deep did you get in my soul
How long will it take me to extract you
What piece will I not be able to release
To lovely to let go freely
...

That We Kissed
And it dripped with longing
...

The Best Poem Of Sam Hawk

Found, And Lost, And Found

You don’t belong to me
But you’re here from time to time
Twining your lovely little fingers
Interlacing them with mine

You don’t belong to me
If fact to someone else
But for a time we can’t resist
To search this out and see what we have found

One man might cringe
at the pain when you are gone
“to much to bear” he’d say
I’m weary of holding on.
Another man might shake his head
And say you must be mad
Tis not yours but another mans
Must lead to something bad

And mad I may be
to let my heart to dare
but a fool I would be
to not enjoy what’s God has placed right there

So freely I breathe
Gently touch, receive
And freely I leave when time has run its course

A bit of pain, when payments due
A grief a guilt remorse
For I am no freer than she,
I to belong to someone else

And nature will not be slighted
Such a bliss must have a fee
So I pay gratefully with lonesome hand
For the blessing that was given me

Perhaps I live to risky
Perhaps my heart will break
or maybe hers or his or hers
But I’m ALIVE a human Man
And hearts break either way.
