Honesty

You told me you were not happy, that you needed to clear your head
You returned six hours later, found me laying on our bed.

I was so glad to see you, I tried to hide my tears
You wrapped your arms around me, your words they calmed my fears.

For hours I had sat hear feeling hurt and sad
Not understanding what was wrong or what I'd done so bad.

You said you wanted to work us out no matter what it took
I cried inside your loving arms till I no longer shook.

The next night coming home from darts
You said the words that broke my heart.

You are no longer happy and don't know what to do
Do you stay or do you leave you're feeling so confused.

You tell me that you love me and it's not me it's you
The saddest part about it is you're no longer true.

You can't be honest with me and I feel so empty inside
We have been through this before, another time you lied.

I at least deserve the truth though it makes me sad
I believe the only reason your hear is you don't want me to feel bad.

Living like we are right now is really killing me
So please sit here and talk with me in open honesty!
