There she stood on the edge of her illusion, expecting to find but no sent of conclusion,
It was then we watched for her self destruction, but it was someone else pushing her buttoms,
She cries in pain, naked and still, it was then we turned, we'd had our fill,
The tears rolled down fast, but the pain sets in slow, a small puddle on the ground, with no where to go,
...

Forgive me lord for I have sinned,
but my thoughts it seems are like dust in the wind.
They blow in the breeze till they fall to the ground,
and with the greatest of ease they come back around.
...

I watch the rain as it falls as it flows,
not sure where it came from, don't care where it goes.
Individual drops, all on the run,
There never alone, there's never just one.
...

Well I'll crawl and I'll stumble as I drag myself back to the war,
And I'll walk past the shadows, I've walked past them many times before.

then I'll get to where we are, and sit myself down in your room,
...

Somewhere in between yellow and gray, my hope has crept away.
And now there's nothing left to hide. another day, to buy sometime.

But in between the anger and tears, you still find some time to,
...

When you die and go to hell, I know the hands of time will tell;
They'll burn you flesh and steal your soul,
then give back to me what you stole.
