Escape To A Daydream

I lay awake in another sleepless night
Nobody notices my silent cries
I smile and wave to the people I see
I will never let them see the real me

Is it to hard to notice
Notice the brokenness and confusion inside of me
I think and I wonder
but it does no good
It's better this way

I have away to escape
Because being asleep in my daydream is a part of me
now I say hello to the good
and goodbye to the bad
It's hard but
I know that I should
