The blue of the ocean
Reflects in your eyes,
As you walk along -
The gravel and the sand.
You.
The adventurer!
Before you,
Stretches the enigmatic waters.
The depth of which
Your shallow mind
Fails to fathom.

The panorama lingers on
In your mind,
Even when you look away.
Curiosity rages in your blood,
And you gather courage (I fear)
To lessen the distance:
Between you and the infinite.....

The waves lash down
At your feet.
And soon you realize
Your soul is wet!

Now comes the craving,
For the salt.
The yearning,
To drown in the waters.
Your mind fills
With insane courage;
You walk past the shore
Towards the blue waters;
To fulfill your desires
The unearthly desires.

The waters dissolve you
Both the body and the mind
And I am afraid your soul too!
The drowning kills you.
Mercilessly.
But ironically,
It brings you back
To life.
