Time is my Frenemy. My logic, at times, is nonsensical. It matters not to me whether or no this life has true and larger purpose (though personally, I believe it does) , only that I do as the ever-schwifty Thoreau suggested and suck all the marrow I can from it. In a word: I revel in my every blessed moment. I thank Him eternally. I make music. I feel unworthy of all the goodness. I forgive. I frolic in the whims of my fantasies. I humble. I sing my rhapsody. I overachieve. I tree-hug and yell at others for littering. I cook. I partake in far too much. I organize. I thrive on passion. I hope. I gamble with gum. I write. I look past unavoidable despondency. I volunteer. I never regret. I ramble. I savor the little things. I sin. I have an adrenaline addiction. I wonder. I sit on my roof and listen to the songs in my head. I help. I impersonate Snow White. I athleticize. I make up words. I craft. I draw Flesh-eating KIWI! s. I think. I care, and then sometimes I don't. I rhyme. I try my best to see the bigger picture. I itch. I pray and pray and pray and pray and pray. I serve. I will love and be loved for all of time, and that's enough for me.)
Let Go
Here I am
Dangling on the brink of your fantasy
4 fingers gripping for the life of me
You told me those words
Pretty, wonderful words
Convinced me that I was the best
No other could compare
Saw that I was not in the right
Changes must be made
Painted a vision of a cheery future
Did I want it?
3 fingers remain
I have already turned a page
It's brighter and better than before
But you show me even better options
I fathom the impossible
It comes down to a decision
What will I choose?
2 fingers left
I made the choice
Not suddenly at all
I prayed and thought and prayed
Yet, was it right?
1 finger
I am falling fast, hard, eyes open, wind in my face
However will I land?
And now, many moons later
I have yet to hit the bottom.
