All these thoughts are private,
Not to the world will I display,
Sad ramblings of a broken mind
Left searching for a way.
...

 Blackbird perches, song unleashed
To the pale twilight of a day.
Calm beauty that is of his world
No dreams or ambitions have breached.
...

Give me another string to my bow
We say, as if 'twill somehow help.
But with the bow, it's arrow and flight
Together in one will show.

Darkness

All these thoughts are private,
Not to the world will I display,
Sad ramblings of a broken mind
Left searching for a way.

Love's kindness did I throw aside,
whilst delving in the dark.
Now  for'er myself I'll chide,
The lost secret of your heart.

'Twas in the ignorance of youth
My confidence was lost;
And with it faded all the truth
Of beauty, warmth and lust.

Now I sit here all alone,
Missing that glorious throne
Of softness, strength, love unbound
In which fulfilment's found.
