With all dreams fulfilled.

A flash of lightning
Is it gone?
The one thing one has only one of

Grabbing at your arms.
Pulling at your heart.
You aren't ready to go.
With whom would you leave?

I see a long night,
A night I won't remember.
I want a great night,
A night always to remember.

Looking deeper and deeper,
And eventually I find the big dipper.
However, as I try harder,
I realize I can see no farther.

To the left,
To the right,
Half inept,
Half in flight,
...

My muse.

Not a drop-dead gorgeous
with everything superfluous.

The world all around,
As bleak as can be.
Nowhere to turn,
Nor anything left for ye.
