what an interesting poem. it makes very real the struggle within the mind of the poet. i was a little scared reading it, wondering whether the poet would succumb to the challenges besetting him or find some insight, or prevail. I was very encouraged to reach the end and see that the poet was transformed, and stronger and defiant about life. Bravo. To choose to live and thrive, defiantly, is a heroic act.
