Yellow pants, unbuttoned shirt, long hair
And a mast unhidden.
Women staring, eyes wide but old.
Remembering and wanting still.
Bare feet full of sand, naked toes,
Legs spread wide, kneeling
And a gull wheeling overhead.

Sunglasses glinting in the bright light
Held by a hand we've never touched.
Waves washing in behind you
While your eyes stare through a lens...
Like an arrow to the heart that watches.

Piano fingers, long and well used.
Eyes searching for something more
But never finding what is needed.
Past and present held ...
