I’m a dead man already because I didn’t chew my food thoroughly
and I drank far too much whiskey and rum, vodka and gin
beer and Mexican bottled piss; I drank it by the gallon, warm and smelly
and then recycled it into my morning juice just before sitting down to shit bricks

and the early morning hard on I get viewing them
when they flap their collagen injected and painted lips

who think themselves to be sane

all around me....they are everywhere

I remember as a child I had a deep seeded fear of heights
I would envision my demise long prior to even a possible fall
Once as a teenage boy I knocked a front tooth from my mouth
When I jumped twenty feet into a drainage ditch next to our house

Bukowski would have been flattered by any of her many comparisons

A man matures
and growing older
he soon realizes
that without a woman
