Terrence Griffin II Poems

When my eyes close, you're voice turns to water droplets;
Sounds to sooth my soul.
As if my world melts, only to leave you and I.
...

Confusion,
Apathy,
Exhaustion
All symptoms of the cancer of the mind.

What's left for the heart, when the blood no longer flows?
What's left for the brain, when the knowledge no longer grows?
What's left for the hand, when there's nothing left to hold?
What's left for the soul, when the body turns cold?
...

Is it time for me to rest…?

Can I finally sleep at night?
Can I find some peace to fill my mind?
...

Love me,
Then hate me.
I trust you,
To betray me.
...

Stress unbolted with a single strike,
Showing the will of every man's spite.
Light racing across the darkened sky,
As quick as it comes, it has to say goodbye.
...

We are the lifeless
We are those who walk among you
We are one, divided by zero
We are like dogs chasing cars.
...

Through all the anger and the pain,
And though, nameless they remain,
There's no way to explain,
All the strain, on my brain.

With Me

When my eyes close, you're voice turns to water droplets;
Sounds to sooth my soul.
As if my world melts, only to leave you and I.

My bliss;
Found only in the depths of my body,
Traversed not by anyone of sound reason.
You found my soul, and filled it with love.
You captured my heart.
Like that of a snow white dove;
Perfection,
It fills my heart to the brim, only to be held in your arms as delicate as a newborn,
Seen not the pleasures until this moment.

Hope, no longer fading,
Only to be made truer.
