They Say Poem by Terrence Griffin II

They Say

Confusion,
Apathy,
Exhaustion
All symptoms of the cancer of the mind.

Sleep more,
Live less.
Take a pill and you'll be fine.

You'll watch the years go by.
You'll watch loved ones come and go.
You'll always hear people say "You tried"
You'll always understand that they don't.

They say you have so much to live for.
Suicide is not the answer.
But when getting out of bed becomes a chore.
Maybe there's nothing more…
