They walk the canal each evening
she one step behind
...
I told my woe to a friend I know
Who straight to my foe did go

They walk the canal each evening
she one step behind
always fixing is collar or his hair

her joy
her life
her everything

He pension from the council
Twill be difficult to make ends meet
but the love raging within her
Will carry them through.
