*this poem is about when i baby-sit my cousin. Hes 2 years of age. And he makes me smile everyday i see him. He makes a big impact on my life when i'm around. Hes what makes me stay.*
You always laugh and smile at me,
Your always having fun,
You beg me to come play your little games,
You beg me to carry you around,
You’re always trying to be a big boy,
Even if you’re down,
You always beg me to watch movies with you,
I can see that I’m in crown.
When it comes to say good by,
You cry and cry,
I hug you one last time,
Then you frown.
“Can you please let go of my leg?
Can’t you see I have to leave?
I know you’ll be a big boy for your mommy.
Wont you promise me to be on your best behavior?
And don’t worry, I’ll be back in a while.”
When the return of laughter fills my ears,
I simply nod my head in the air.
