Idioms falter,
Speech diminishes,
Heart flutters,
Hidden wishes.

Looking at the shards now scattered,
Of a life lived in anguish,
Simmering in the envisaged myriad,
Of amber colored pain,

Years pass by,
Ferns grow tall,
Seasons change,
Yet I live on.
