The Choice We Make

Life is tough, You know
It meets every soul Differently
And so every soul treats it Differently
No matter the class they're in
Be it rich, poor or in-between.

Some choose to treat it
With lies, cruelty, greed or theft
Hurting others to get a head
Because life is tough
And that's how they treat it

Some choose to treat it
With kindness and heavy grace
Offering kindness and compassion to others
Because life is tough
And that's how they treat it

Yet in the end,
Life is a mirror
It doesn't just show you who you're
It shows you what you choose to be
When life is hard
And so, the choice remains
